Project Overview

In 2019, Lampson International teamed with Apollo Inc. to plan and execute the lift and placement of the Duportail Bridge spans in Richland, Washington. The project leveraged the Lampson Transi-Lift LTL-1100 with 380’ of boom and 1,600 kips of counterweight to manage the heavy and precise lifts required.

Key Operations & Capabilities

  • Largest girder measured 175’ in length and weighed 228,000 pounds with rigging
  • Longest reach achieved was 320’
  • Supplied concrete test weights to construct a pad 20’ into the Yakima River for optimal crane placement
  • Set 50 girders in four weeks, then dismantled and removed the crane in two weeks
